You might think that doesn’t sound revolutionary but in martech it’s unheard of. Last year Lotame presented its Unstacked Solutions to the world, a revolutionary way of serving our clients by letting them decide what they need and want. That’s ingrained in all Lotame employees it’s part of our DNA. They are the ones who surprise their clients, who overdeliver, who make the impossible possible. The best salespeople in the world are the ones who take a breath, lean in and listen closely to every word their clients say - and what’s not said. Every relationship internally with coworkers, every bond with our clients and tech partners and agency partners, every connection we make with our data and data tech, every touch point is important and valued and respected. I’ll name the top three that come to mind most often for me, day in, day out: Lotame is perfectly positioned to do this for a number of reasons.

Understanding customer needs and customizing solutions to match what they really want - not what a company has to sell. My career up to this point has been focused on this kind of work. Often, you become friends outside of a business setting. You establish a rapport with people, face to face. Which is why salespeople keep their book of business close to the chest. How do you listen, show up, ideate, care about and serve your customers? A sales team’s success comes down to the unique and strong bonds they form with their clients and partners.

So what gives? While not a classic bag-carrying sales leader, I do feel this evolution in my career is a natural one - and there’s no better place to lead the charge than Lotame. (Those who know me well also recognize that trait.) But I’m just so excited about the opportunities and challenges ahead in this role and the groundswell of change that Lotame is ushering in - I can’t keep quiet. Those who know me well, know that I’m not one to pound my chest or seek out the limelight. The project was generously supported by the Canadian Research Design Network, Bentley, and CIAM.I’m happy to share the news that I’ve taken on a bigger role at Lotame as Chief Revenue Officer. Finally, the sound form is combined with an industrial wool felt base.

While the canopy structure is designed to articulate along the temporal axis, the initial phase of the movement is frozen and outputted to a physical 3D model using an additive rapid prototyping procedure fabricated at the Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design, University of Toronto. The amplitude is 'spatially convoluted' with the spectral analysis to create a 3-dimensional flow. The resulting design is an architectural canopy generated from the waveform of a solo piano note decaying. Once the performance was recorded, the sound data was analysed and then algorimthically modelled in a beta parametric CAD program (Generative Components). In hommage to Scelsi, «Piano» sculpturally explores the sonic properties of timbre.įor more biographic details on Scelsi see: Solo Nota 9 «Ttai», but the gesture returns us to Scelsi's meditation on a single piano note during his time in a psychiatric hospital in the 40's. The solo note is extracted from Giacinto Scelsi's Suite no. «Piano» materialises Louise Bessette's ethereal performance of a solo piano note.
